Getting Started
How do I get access to EdgeRun.Ai?
Join our Discord server and request a server in the #server-requests channel. Our team will provision a dedicated instance for you and provide your login credentials.
How long does it take to get a server?
Typically 1-3 business days from the time you submit your request. We'll notify you via Discord DM when your server is ready.
Is there a free trial?
Contact us via Discord to discuss trial options. We offer evaluation periods for qualified organizations.
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
The only installation required is the Chrome extension. The web portals (Hunter and Manager) are accessed through your browser with no installation needed.
Chrome Extension
Why do I need Developer Mode enabled?
The EdgeRun.Ai extension is distributed directly rather than through the Chrome Web Store. Developer Mode allows you to load unpacked extensions. This is a standard practice for enterprise and specialized tools.
Is it safe to use Developer Mode?
Yes, when loading trusted extensions like EdgeRun.Ai. Developer Mode itself doesn't make your browser less secure - it just allows you to load extensions from sources other than the Chrome Web Store.
Chrome keeps warning me about Developer Mode extensions. Is this normal?
Yes, Chrome periodically reminds you when developer mode extensions are enabled. Simply dismiss the notification. This is Chrome's standard behavior, not an indication of any problem.
Does the extension work in Incognito mode?
By default, no. To enable it in Incognito: go to chrome://extensions/, find EdgeRun.Ai, click "Details", and toggle "Allow in Incognito".
Can I use the extension in Edge, Brave, or other Chromium browsers?
Yes! The extension works in any Chromium-based browser including Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera. The installation process is similar.
Account & Access
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Contact support via Discord or email hello@edgerun.ai. We'll help you reset your password securely.
Can I add more users to my server?
Yes! Administrators can add users through the Manager Portal. Contact support if you need help with user management or if you've reached your user limit.
How do I change my email address?
Contact support to change your account email. For security reasons, this requires verification.

What's the difference between Search, Thinking, and Research modes?

How many investigations can I create?
There's no hard limit on investigations. However, best practices suggest keeping active investigations manageable and archiving completed ones.
Is my data shared with other users?
EdgeRun.Ai uses a single-tenant architecture. Your data is completely isolated on your dedicated server and is not shared with or accessible to other organizations.
What OSINT sources does EdgeRun.Ai integrate with?
Current integrations include:
- AlienVault OTX
- AbuseIPDB
- WhoisXML
- Google Gemini AI
Additional integrations are added regularly. Check Discord announcements for updates.
Can I export my investigation data?
Yes, investigations can be exported in various formats. Look for the "Export" option in the investigation menu.
Troubleshooting
The extension isn't connecting to my server
Try these steps:
- Verify your FQDN is correct (including
https://) - Check your credentials are entered correctly
- Ensure you have internet connectivity
- Try refreshing the extension (click reload in chrome://extensions/)
- Clear the extension's stored data and re-enter credentials
IOCs aren't being detected on a page
Possible reasons:
- The page content is loaded dynamically (try waiting for full load)
- IOCs are in images or non-text formats (these aren't scanned)
- The extension needs to be refreshed
- Check if the page is in an iframe (may require manual scanning)
The web portal is loading slowly
Try these steps:
- Clear your browser cache
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different browser
- Contact support if the issue persists
I'm getting SSL/certificate errors
This usually indicates a server configuration issue. Contact support immediately - we'll resolve it quickly.
Security & Privacy
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Your server uses industry-standard encryption.
Who can access my data?
Only authorized users on your EdgeRun.Ai instance can access your data. The EdgeRun.Ai team has operational access for support and maintenance purposes only.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on your dedicated server. For enterprise customers with on-premises deployments, data stays entirely within your infrastructure.
Do you comply with SOC 2, GDPR, etc.?

What payment methods do you accept?
